Fifth Annual Fair Trade Festival

Fair TradeSt. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Georgetown, DE will hold it’s 5th Annual Distant Neighbors Fair Trade Festival on Friday, November 18th  (9 a.m – 7 p.m.) and Saturday, November 19th,
(9 a.m. – 3 p.m.) – the weekend before Thanksgiving.

As in past years, this two-day event provides an alternative shopping experience to crowded malls and the bombardment of advertising, while offering quality, hand-made gifts at an affordable price as well as delicious, homemade lunches. All pur-
chases may be made with cash, check, Visa or Master Card.

Fair Trade refers to the direct purchase of goods from people in developing nations.  Fair Trade empowers and assures the talented, low income artisans and farmers who produce their products, a fair price for their labor and hard work.  This years proceeds will benefit the Sussex Homeless as wellFair Trade as St. Paul’s other community out-reach programs.

The ever popular “Corner Café” will be open both days from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. providing homemade soups, chili, breads, beverages and desserts.  Quarts of homemade soup may also be purchased to go.  Other activities include Three raffles – one for a Kindle book reader, one for a wine picnic baske,t and one for a basket of local merchant gift certificates.

Join us for a wonderful shopping opportunity, some fun, and a way to serve our neighbors near and far.  We look forward to seeing you at the Distant Neighbors Festival on November 18th and 19th.
